Presidents’ Day and Valentine’s -Taylorsville-
We had a lot of fun learning about Presidents’ Day…We dressed up like George Washington and fixed ourselves his favorite breakfast: hoe cakes and tea:). We even arranged the pictures of our presidents in chronological order starting with George Washington and all the way to President Obama! That was forty four presidents, can you imagine?!!! Did you ever know that when George Washington was a child, he cut his father’s cherry tree with his hatchet and made his father really mad?!!! We are not sure that this actually happened. It’s a myth. We enjoyed it anyway. Some of us drew pictures of Washington’s cherry trees…To celebrate Valentine’s, we made heart pancakes with strawberries…YUM! Our classroom shelves burst with hearts:). Happy Birthday, Mckenna:).
